Decent service, minor hiccup

I registered a .bit namecoin domain and the process was mostly smooth. Searching for available domains was easy and the checkout flow was clear. The domain became active quickly after payment. My only small gripe was that their support section could be a bit more detailed on how to set up the decentralized DNS, I had to do a bit of extra searching myself. But overall, it delivered what it promised and the price was fair.

Smooth .coin domain registration

I ordered a .coin domain last week and the registration process was fairly quick. The website interface for finding and registering the domain was intuitive, I didn't get lost at all. Payment with crypto was easy to navigate, which was a plus for me. The domain was active within about an hour after confirmation. I also used their guide for pointing it to a decentralized website, and that worked well too, though it took a little reading to understand everything. Overall, a good experience for what I needed.

Awesome .bit domain purchase

Just registered my first .bit domain through Peername and it was super easy! The process was straightforward, and I had my domain in minutes. I'm so excited about decentralized web identities, and Peername made it a breeze. Definitely going to register more domains here! Will tell all my friends who are into crypto.

Good value for .emc domains

I was looking for a .emc domain and compared prices across a few sites. Peername had competitive pricing, especially since I was planning to register for a few years. The multi-year registration deal gave me a decent discount, which made it feel like a worthwhile investment. It's always nice to save a bit when getting into new tech like this. The process was quick and I feel like I got good value for my money.

Got my .bazar domain!

Needed a .bazar domain for a project and decided to try Peername. It was pretty simple, just searched for it and paid. The whole thing took maybe 10 minutes. No weird glitches or anything. It's cool to have one of those blockchain domains now. Happy with how it went.

Hey, wondering if anyone knows how long it usually takes to get a .bit domain registered with Peername? Trying to set up a new site.

D Daisy Torres 2 months ago
From my experience, it's pretty quick. Like, usually within an hour or two once the payment clears. Sometimes faster.

Yeah, usually almost instant once everything processes on the blockchain. You'll see it in your account pretty fast.

Can you actually transfer domains away from Peername if you decide to go to another registrar later?

N Nick T. 2 months ago
Yeah, you can transfer them out. It's a blockchain domain so you usually control the keys, Peername just makes it easy to manage. I moved one of my .bit domains to a different wallet without an issue.

I'm pretty sure you can. It's a decentralized domain, so you should have full control over it. Peername is just the registrar front-end.

Does Peername take regular credit cards or is it all crypto payments? Trying to figure out how to pay for a .coin domain.

R Renee Doyle 2 months ago
They do take credit cards! I paid for my .emc domain with a Visa last month. Just look for the option at checkout.

Yeah, crypto is an option, but you can definitely use a credit card too. Don't worry if you don't have a crypto wallet set up yet.

Thinking of getting a bunch of .lib domains. Do they have any kind of discount for buying multiple at once?

S Shane 2 months ago
I got a bulk discount when I registered 5 .bit domains last year. It was automatically applied at checkout, I think it was like 10-15% off.

They do sometimes, especially for bulk purchases. Don't expect huge savings but it's usually something. Check their site or add them to your cart to see.

How does Peername compare to Unstoppable Domains? Is one better for .bit or .coin domains specifically?

T Troy G. 2 months ago
Peername specializes more in the Namecoin and Emercoin ecosystem (.bit, .coin, .emc), while Unstoppable covers a broader range like .crypto, .nft. Depends what you're looking for.

N Neil Foster 2 months ago
Peername is good if you're specifically targeting the Namecoin/Emercoin stuff. Unstoppable has more of the newer TLDs. Functionality wise, both are pretty solid for managing them.
